Upload PDFs (and other supported types) so the GuidMe AI can use your content when answering users in the widget.

Why upload documents

The widget answers questions using:

  1. Your documents — PDFs you upload (guides, FAQs, internal docs).
  2. Web links — URLs you add (help site, product pages). See Web links.

Without documents or web links, the AI has only general knowledge. With your content, it can give accurate, context-specific answers.

How to upload

  1. Open the dashboard and select your app.
  2. Go to Documents.
  3. Drag and drop files or click to choose. Supported formats include PDF.
  4. Wait for processing to finish. The AI will then use the content when users ask questions.

What the AI uses

  • The text and structure of your documents are indexed automatically.
  • The AI retrieves relevant parts when a user asks a question in the widget.
  • Only the app’s documents (and web links) are used for that app’s widget.

Tips

  • Prefer clear, well-structured PDFs (headings, short sections).
  • Keep file sizes reasonable for faster processing.
  • You can upload multiple documents; the AI will search across all of them.
